Abstract

[eng] with respect to the lenght of the working day and the number of jobs supplied. This formulation, jointly with a profit maximizing assumption provides some basic insight in the reaction of the price taking firm to the regulations tending to shorten the working day. More specifically, it is shown that these regulations can very well diminish the number of jobs supplied by the firm.
