Metodologické problémy ekonomie jako nominalistické vědy

Abstract

Text se zabývá zásadní metodologickou proměnou, kterou prošla ekonomie v několika posledních desetiletích. Tato změna je vysvětlena na bázi Popperova rozlišení věd na esencialistické a nominalistické, přičemž zásadním závěrem textu je, že ekonomie se v posledních dekádách výrazně posunula od vědy esencialistického typu k vědě nominalistického typu. Tento přechod je spojen především s nástupem kvantitativních metod, statistiky a pokročilé matematiky. Charakteristickým znakem této proměny je zvýšená schopnost ekonomie nabízet hypotézy, které jsou testovány pomocí metody falsifikace. Text se dále zabývá problematickými místy této metodologické změny v ekonomii a snaží se odhadnout budoucí metodologický vývoj ekonomické vědy nahlížený prostřednictvím proběhnuvšího metodologického posunu.
