Las alternativas de reestructuración empresarial en la agricultura de la costa peruana

Abstract

En este artículo, el autor analiza tres de las diversas alternativas de reestructuración empresarial que se presentan para las cooperativas de la costa peruana, incidiendo en las posibilidades de cada una de ellas para solucionar los principales problemas internos de esta modalidad asociativa. Asimismo, identifica los problemas jundamentales del funcionamiento de las cooperativas a los que, junto a los factores externos, han llevado a la crisis a esta modalidad empresarial y a su desarticulación a través de la 'parcelación" de sus tierras. Posteriormente discute, a nivel teórico, las ventajas y desventajas del modelo de parcelas familiares en relación a las cooperativas. Finalmente, aborda el análisis de tres alternativas de reestructuración empresarial (sectorización, Cooperativas de Usuarios y Sociedad de Personas o Trabajadores), como un mecanismo para superar los problemas intrínsecos de las cooperativas, pero tratando de mantener sus ventajas, como pueden ser las economías de escala.
