A bérszínvonal kérdésének elméleti megfontolásai és gyakorlata
[Theoretical considerations behind the debate on wage levels, and some practical consequences]

Abstract

Míg a klasszikus iskola az elsődleges elosztásra (vagyis a bérek és a profit termelés közbeni elosztására) összpontosított, a neoklasszikus és az osztrák iskola már nem foglalkozott ezekkel a kérdésekkel. Amint azt a "két Cambridge" tőkevitája nyilvánvalóvá tette, a neoklasszikus termelési függvény alapján nem alkotható "meritokratikus" elmélet a bérek/nyereség elosztásáról a tőke és a munka termelékenységére alapozva, a neoklasszikus és az osztrák iskola nem képes koherens profitelméletet nyújtani. Így azt sem tudják megmagyarázni, hogy a bér/profit arány hogyan alakul ki. Az egyetlen igazolt ilyen elmélet Pierro Sraffától és a posztricardiánus iskolától származik, és arra a következtetésre jut, hogy ez az elsődleges elosztás társadalmi és nem gazdasági jellegű (azaz a tőke és a munka relatív erején alapszik, nem pedig a feltételezett különálló termelékenységeiken). Ezen elméleti megfontolások gyakorlati következménye, hogy a teljes tényezőtermelékenység szintjének nyilvánvaló korlátján túl a relatív társadalmi erő (amely olyan mutatókkal mérhető, mint például a kollektív szerződéses lefedettség) jól magyarázza a hozzáadott értéken belüli bérrészesedés és az ebből adódó bérszintek létrejöttét.
