Stratificazione, nocivit? e lavoro immigrato. il caso del distretto conciario della Valle del Chiampo

Abstract

L?articolo indaga le condizioni di vita e di lavoro della manodopera impiegata nel distretto conciario della Valle del Chiampo, caratterizzato da una forte segmentazione di imprese medio piccole, che cooperano e competono all?interno della filiera della pelle, e da un ele- vato utilizzo di forza lavoro immigrata. Dopo una breve trattazione delle dinamiche di competizione che il distretto affronta nella fase attuale, si analizzano le condizioni di lavoro delle lavoratrici e dei lavoratori impiegati nelle imprese conciarie venete, la frammentazio- ne della manodopera, le difficolt? nella sindacalizzazione, la diseguale distribuzione della nocivit? dei luoghi di lavoro e le dinamiche discriminatorie che agiscono dentro e fuori la sfera della produzione sociale. L?articolo analizza le difficolt? che la forza lavoro affronta per riuscire ad innescare meccanismi di solidariet? e di mobilitazione collettiva dati dalla profonda frammentazione e stratificazione della manodopera.
