How data elements fuel new quality productive forces in enterprises: A perspective from digital finance

Abstract

This article uses data from Chinese A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2022 to empirically examine the impact of data elements on enterprises' new quality productivity. The study finds that data elements have a significant positive impact on enterprises' new quality productivity. Mechanism tests show that digital finance plays a significant mediating effect in the relationship between data elements and enterprises' new quality productivity; further analysis reveals that market competition exerts a positive moderating effect in the relationship between data elements and enterprises' new quality productivity.
