Improving fuel characteristics through torrefaction

Abstract

Three locally available biomasses namely bagasse, corn stalk and leaves (CSL) and coconut shell (CS) were subjected to torrefaction in this study. Three parameters were varied namely temperature residence time and particles sizes to determine the optimum torrefaction conditions.
