Abstract

This article deals with a research in corporate social responsibility. After a literature review on this theme, we expose community involvement as a social strategy and a corporate social expression. Moreover, we propose the construction of a responsibility measure based on the firm's community involvement. This measure permits to mitigate the principal inconvenients in other researches. Finally, this tool is applied to a sample of 77 French companies.
