Abstract

The new coronavirus is an infectious virus that was first seen in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and SARS-CoV-2 (serious acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2), best known as Covid-19, has taken the whole world under its influence in a short time. Covid-19 pandemic; It has caused significant changes in individuals' eating habits, physical activities, consumer behaviors, sleep patterns, mood and daily life activities. In order to support the immune system in the Covid-19 pandemic; It is emphasized that choosing a healthy lifestyle, consuming foods rich in fruits and vegetables, spending free time by exercising, trying to maintain a healthy body weight and sleeping for a sufficient amount of time. Since the turn of the twenty-first century, the discourse on a global food system transformation that prioritizes healthy eating and nutrition has resonated among agencies and scientists. The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed vulnerabilities within the food system and highlighted the need for a holistic systems approach to accelerate concerted efforts towards our global goals and objectives. It is thought that determining the nutritional habits of the society during the pandemic period will be effective in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. In the light of this information, in this study, it is aimed to evaluate the developments of the nutritional habits of the society in the Covid-19 pandemic.
