Condiciones y determinantes de la internacionalización de las empresas industriales colombianas: una aproximación cuantitativa en el ámbito de la firma

Abstract

En los últimos diez anos se ha visto un impulso por parte de las empresas colombianas en el ofrecimiento de sus productos en los mercados internacionales en coordinación con los demás países de América Latina. En este sentido, el objetivo de este trabajo es explorar cuantitativamente las condiciones y los determinantes que han permitido esta expansión internacional de las empresas industriales colombianas entre el 2006 y 2010. Para efectos metodológicos se utiliza un modelo logit sobre una muestra de diez mil empresas. Las estimaciones muestran que los activos específicos tales como la capacidad tecnológica y las características sectoriales de las empresas, son los factores que mayor influencia han tenido en el resultado exportador en los anos de estudio.
