El Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte y Colombia: ¿más de lo mismo?

Abstract

A partir de la experiencia mexicana de unión al Tratado de Libre Comercio para laAmérica del Norte (TLCAN), el artículo pretende analizar los posibles efectos deuna eventual vinculación de Colombia al referido esquema. La conclusión apunta asenalar que se requieren condiciones especiales de negociación con Norteamérica,así como una profunda reestructuración del aparato productivo y la oferta exportablecolombiana, para que dicho acuerdo se traduzca en mejores condiciones económicasy sociales para el país._________ABSTRACT:The article attempts to analyze the mighty effects of a possible participation ofColombia in the Pact of Free Trade for North America, based on the experience ofMexico. In order guarantee better economic and social conditions for the country,these agreement would require some special negotiation conditions with NorthAmerica as well as a deep reorganization of the productivity policies and Colombianexports supply.
