Zu den Auswirkungen von Rohstoffpreisänderungen auf den Leistungsbilanzsaldo

Der deutsche Leistungsbilanzüberschuss ist in den vergangenen Jahren auf über 8% in Relation zum nominalen Bruttoinlandsprodukt gestiegen. Damit übersteigt er den von der Europäischen Kommission im Rahmen der Überwachung von makroökonomischen Ungleichgewichten ausgegebenen Schwellenwert von 6%. Dieser starke Anstieg ist maßgeblich auf den Rückgang der Preise für importiertes Erdöl und Erdgas zurückzuführen. Für sich genommen hat dieser Preiseffekt in den Jahren von 2013 bis 2016 den Leistungsbilanzüberschuss um 1,4 Prozentpunkte des nominalen Bruttoinlandsprodukts steigen lassen.
