Vybrané Otázky Chápania Pravicového Extrémizmu

Abstract

Fenomén pravicového extrémizmu je od 80. rokov 20. storočia predmetom zvýšeného záujmu médií, politiky i vedy. Napriek tomu však stále neexistuje jednotná definícia pojmu pravicový extrémizmus a problematické zostáva aj jeho vymedzenie voči radikalizmu či populizmu. Chýbajúci konsenzus v tejto otázke vedie k voľnému používaniu a zamieňaniu týchto termínov. Nasledujúci príspevok skúma príčiny tohto stavu a objasňuje najčastejšie teoretické prístupy k definovaniu pravicového extrémizmu. Osobitne sa venuje tzv. teórii extrémizmu, ktorá vznikla v Nemecku a mala dominantný vplyv aj na výskum v strednej Európe. Zároveň upozorňuje na riziká neuváženého používania diskutovaných pojmov i dôsledky tohto terminologického chaosu na politickú prax. Neujasnená terminológia ostáva aj naďalej základnou prekážkou v snahe skúmať pravicový extrémizmus ako nadnárodný fenomén.
