Abstract

Pig production is a very important branch around the world. The paper deals with technical efficiency of pig farms using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). DEA is a technique for measuring of relative performances of different production units, where the presence of multiple inputs and outputs makes comparison difficult. Besides evaluation of efficiency, the article is concentrated on an application of the Super Efficiency model. This model is aimed at the comparisons of effective units to each other.
