Réexamen de la Relation Exportations Intra‐Continentales et Investissements Directs Étrangers: l'Effet Des Corridors Terrestres Partagés en Afrique Subsaharienne

Abstract

Cet article a pour objectif de montrer l'effet des corridors terrestres sur la relation entre les exportations intra‐africaines et les IDE sortants intra‐africains et entrants. Pour ce faire, nous estimons un modèle dynamique à l'aide de la méthode des moments généralisés (MMG) et des moindres carrés ordinaires (MCO), sur un échantillon de 40 pays d'Afrique Subsaharienne (ASS) entre 2000 et 2021. Les résultats montrent qu'un corridor ferroviaire partagé améliore significativement les flux d'IDE entrants et sortants. En revanche, les corridors routiers partagés n'ont pas d'effet significatif sur les IDE. L'analyse de l'effet modérateur révèle que les corridors ferroviaires et routiers partagés renforcent la relation entre exportations intra‐africaines et IDE sortants des pays d'ASS. Cet effet n'est toutefois pas observé entre les exportations et l'attractivité des économies. Par ailleurs, nous mettons en évidence des effets hétérogènes entre les sous‐régions africaines. Ces résultats présentent des implications importantes pour l'accélération de la mise en œuvre de la Zone de libre‐échange continentale africaine (Zlecaf).
