La progression modérée de la durée d’utilisation des équipements se poursuit en 2014 - Résultats de l’enquête menée par la Banque de France

Abstract

En 2014, la durée d’utilisation des équipements productifs (DUE) dans l’industrie manufacturière, mesurée par l’enquête de la Banque de France, poursuit sa progression amorcée après la crise financière de 2009. La hausse de la DUE serait ainsi de 1,7 % en 2014 (1,4 % en 2013), après la chute historique de – 6,8 % en 2009. Les autres résultats de l’enquête montrent que, pour certaines entreprises, cette hausse de la DUE s’est en partie effectuée avec des modifications des modes d’organisation du travail. Les PMI ont ainsi eu davantage recours au travail en équipes (travail posté) et, dans une moindre mesure, ont étendu la durée moyenne du travail, en particulier dans le secteur de fabrication de matériel de transport et dans le secteur de l’industrie agricole et alimentaire. Dans un contexte conjoncturel toujours incertain après cinq ans de crise, la légère progression de la DUE en 2014 révèle les contraintes d’adaptation des entreprises pour poursuivre leur développement sans avoir à faire face à des coûts supplémentaires. Ainsi, les entreprises déclarant en 2014 ne pas pouvoir adapter la DUE à une intensification de la demande sont aussi nombreuses qu’en 2013, le premier des obstacles invoqués est à nouveau le manque de main-d’oeuvre qualifiée. Cependant, pour 2015, les chefs d’entreprise anticipent de nouveau un rebond de 2,2 % de la DUE. Enfin, les tensions sur l’appareil de production restent contenues en 2014. Les taux d’utilisation des capacités productives ont remonté sans atteindre toutefois leur niveau d’avant-crise.
