Matriz Input-Output e Comércio Inter-Regional da Região Centro (Portugal)

Abstract

O presente artigo propõe-se estimar o comércio inter-regional para a Região Centro. Para tal, foram utilizados dois métodos distintos: o primeiro assenta na construção de uma matriz Input-Output para a Região, correspondendo as exportações líquidas inter-regionais à diferença entre recursos e aplicações totais dos produtos (outros que não os derivados do próprio comércio inter-regional); o segundo apoia-se no método do Quociente de Localização. Concluise que a grande vantagem do método Input-Output é que se propõe observar efectivamente a oferta e procura dos produtos na região. Ao contrário, o método do Quociente de Localização assume hipóteses convencionais quanto a essas variáveis, nomeadamente que a procura pelos produtos da Região possui uma estrutura idêntica à do país. O artigo finda com uma breve caracterização do comércio inter-regional da Região Centro.
