Green economy, green growth and greening as forms of implementing the concept of sustainable development

Abstract

The subject of the study is the green economy, green growth and greening as concepts of implementation in the economy in order to preserve environmental protection, biodiversity and counteract climate change. These concepts implemented in the European Union have been named the European Green Deal. All green concepts are linked to the paradigm of sustainable development and in the developed strategies become forms of its implementation. This work is based on the literature on the subject and documents formulated by the United Nations agencies, international institutions and organizations and European Union bodies. The concepts of "green economy", "green growth" and "green deal" are of particular importance in economic sectors based on natural resources - agriculture, forestry, fisheries and mining. Greening means treating nature and ecosystems with care in economic and social life, especially in territorial systems of large concentration of population and industry. The implementation of green concepts of sustainable development requires investment and educational support. Green development concepts have many ambitious assumptions and may be considered too optimistic.
