Abstract

Debates about the new CAP focus on the question of public support distribution. The article analyses the evolution of the economic, sociologie and institutional context. Then, it presents the three schools of thinking which are discussing inside the French farm movement : the economic school supports the new PAC; the protectionist school pretends to rebuild a preferential European market; the modulation school wants to equalize the access to the public support. The conclusion insists upon the interest to study the problem of scale economies in farm sector to precise how the CAP could combine equity and efficiency.
