Die Lohnkurve in Deutschland unter Berücksichtigung des regionalen Preisniveaus

Die Lohnkurve untersucht den Zusammenhang zwischen dem Lohnniveau und der Arbeitslosigkeit auf regionaler Ebene. Zu ihr gibt es eine Vielzahl von empirischen Untersuchungen. Die nachstehenden Ergebnisse modifizieren und ergänzen diese Arbeiten am Beispiel der Lohnkurve in Deutschland in mehrfacher Hinsicht: - Die Ergebnisse im Rahmen der empirischen Regionalforschung reagieren äußerst sensibel auf die Abgrenzung regionaler Untersuchungseinheiten. Hier werden regionale Arbeitsmärkte genutzt, die als räumliche Verwertungsbereiche des Produktionsfaktors Arbeit unverzerrte Ergebnisse liefern. - Durch Schätzung räumlicher Preisindizes ist es möglich, im Schätzansatz Nominaldurch die eigentlich ökonomisch relevanten Reallöhne zu ersetzen. - In der modernen räumlichen Ökonometrie werden Abhängigkeiten zwischen den regionalen Untersuchungseinheiten berücksichtigt, so auch in den nachstehenden Ergebnissen. - Die Lohnkurve muss nicht in allen Regionen gleich sein. Vielmehr ist es plausibler, dass sich aufgrund von Besonderheiten der Arbeitsmärkte in den Regionen die Koeffizienten des Schätzansatzes interregional voneinander unterscheiden. Die Hypothese wird überprüft und im Schätzansatz berücksichtigt. Diese Erweiterungen der Lohnkurve führen zu Schätzergebnissen, die die bisherigen Aussagen zur Lohnkurve erheblich ändern.
