Abstract

This paper reviews the literature on protection of industry and concentrates on selected journal articles that appeared over the period 1979–1993. The survey is organized according to the various instruments of protection in the manufacturing sector, and it is designed to acquaint nonspecialists with theoretical and empirical work in this area.
