Zum Einfluss eines Ölpreisanstiegs auf die Konjunktur

Abstract

Der kräftige Preisanstieg für Rohöl im Zuge der politischen Ereignisse im arabischen Raum wirft die Frage auf, inwieweit die deutsche Konjunktur davon betroffen ist. Zuletzt erreichte der Preis für Rohöl der Sorte Brent 115 US-Dollar pro Fass. Es deutet vieles darauf hin, dass ein persistenter Ölpreisanstieg langfristig zu einer Dämpfung des Wachstums führt und mit Preiserhöhungen einhergeht (vgl. Sachverständigenrat 2006). So haben Simulationen mit einem makroökonometrischen Modell gezeigt, dass ein langfristiger 10-prozentiger Ölpreisanstieg das Produktionspotential in Deutschland um 0,15 Prozentpunkte senkt. Wichtig ist aber auch das Ausmaß der konjunkturellen Wirkungen.
