Abstract

Can intra-industry trade be measured? The limitations of existing methods in the case of the Czech Republic and the EU Abstract: This study reflects on the difficulties of measuring intra-industry trade. The application of the three most used methods in the case of Foreign Trade of the Czech Republic with the EU led to the proposal of an alternative method minimizing the weaknesses of the former ones. The study finds on the one hand that no method can be completely free of bias and on the other hand that intra-industry trade makes up a marginal share of trade between the Czech Republic and the EU.
