Índice de Progreso Social en 10 ciudades de Colombia

Abstract

Si una ciudad no logra satisfacer las necesidades básicas de sus ciudadanos, estableciendo aquellas condiciones que les permitan mejorar su calidad de vida y ofreciendo oportunidades a sus residentes para que puedan alcanzar su pleno potencial, aún si se logra el éxito económico, no es una ciudad exitosa. Es cada vez más claro que el crecimiento inclusivo exige que el éxito económico y el progreso social vayan de la mano. Este informe elaborado por la red de Progreso Social Colombia pone en práctica la poderosa metodología del Índice de Progreso Social en diez ciudades de Colombia. Esta permite a los líderes, y a la ciudadanía en general, identificar las fortalezas y las debilidades de sus ciudades y establecer estrategias que impulsen el desarrollo inclusivo y sostenible. Este informe constituye un hito para Colombia, precisamente cuando la comunidad internacional firma un nuevo pacto global para el desarrollo promovido por las Naciones Unidas con la intención de construir un mundo mejor para el ano 2030.
