Expectativas, Tasa de Inter�s y Tasa de Cambio. Paridad Cubierta y no Cubierta en Colombia 2000-2007

Abstract

En este trabajo se utilizan tasas marginales de inter�s, tasas de cambio forwards y encuestassobre expectativas de devaluaci�n con el fin de verificar las hip�tesis de paridad cubierta(PC) y no cubierta (PNC) de las tasas de inter�s en Colombia en el per�odo 2000-2007. Seencuentra evidencia de cumplimiento de PC para per�odos de maduraci�n de 1 a�o (y sesugiere que tambi�n podr�a ser v�lida para per�odos menores) y evidencia de PNC paraper�odos superiores a 1 semestre. La anomal�a" que se detecta para algunos per�odos demaduraci�n al utilizar el supuesto de expectativas racionales y el diferencial de tasas deinter�s como variable independiente parece ser el resultado de variables omitidas o malmedidas."
