Elecciones 2018 en Colombia: la competencia política en un escenario de paz

Abstract

Las últimas elecciones nacionales en Colombia se celebran en los primeros meses del año 2014-en marzo las legislativas y en mayo y junio la primera y segunda vuelta presidencial, respectivamente-. La elección presidencial constituyó la segunda vez en la historia en que un presidente en ejercicio se presentaba a la reelección-figura adoptada constitucionalmente en el año 2006-. Estos comicios, a diferencia de muchos otros celebrados en las últimas décadas en el país, tuvieron lugar en el marco de un proceso de diálogo entre el gobierno y la guerrilla de las FARC con el propósito de poner fin al conflicto armado que lleva más de seis décadas. Teniendo en cuenta este novedoso contexto institucional y político, el presente libro busca contribuir -desde seis miradas analíticas diferentes- al estudio sobre la representación política, las elecciones y los partidos políticos en Colombia, como un tema sobre el que todavía queda mucho por conocer y; fundamentalmente, por explicar.
