Análisis de efectividad del modelo económico boliviano (2006-2019)

Abstract

El documento analiza la efectividad del modelo económico que se instauró en Bolivia el año 2006 y que tuvo una vigencia de casi 15 años. Para ese propósito, se evaluó el efecto del paradigmasobreseisindicadoresdelaeconomíaboliviana: nivel deproducción, exportaciones, diversificación económica, ingreso per cápita, desarrollo humano y medio ambiente. En ese sentido, siguiendo la metodología de control sintético, se construyó una “Bolivia sintética” a partir de la información de 100 países en el período 1991-2017. Se encontró que el modelo tuvo efectos muy modestos en el nivel de producción y el ingreso per cápita, casi nulos en el desarrollo humano y negativos en la diversificación económica, las exportaciones y el medio ambiente. De esa manera, se demostró la inefectividad del modelo económico boliviano; la mejora de los indicadores en los últimos tres lustros se debió al entorno externo favorable, principalmente.
