Clusters de calidad de vida y cambio climático en Bolivia: un análisis espacial multitemporal aplicando sistemas de información geográfica

Abstract

La distribución geográfica de la actividad económica en Bolivia, así como el comportamiento de los factores climáticos, ha contribuido en las últimas décadas a un desarrollo desequilibrado, lo cual permite evidenciar la existencia de clusters de calidad de vida a nivel departamental, municipal y por zona geográfica de Bolivia. El nivel de pobreza calculado mediante la aplicación de la metodología de las Necesidades Básicas Insatisfechas, permite observar las condiciones de vida de la población, considerando variables de vivienda, salud, educación y saneamiento básico, y cómo en el tiempo los avances son significativos. Tomando en cuenta los indicadores sociales de pobreza resultado de los procesos censales 1992, 2001 y 2012, y con los registros de 137 estaciones meteorológicas, se realiza un análisis que permite presentar evidencia empírica de la relación entre los niveles de pobreza a nivel municipal en Bolivia y las variables de cambio climático: temperatura y nivel de precipitación, utilizando técnicas de econometría espacial en tres cortes transversales y sistemas de información geográfica.
