Reformas políticas y eficiencia económica hacia un análisis económico de la democracia: los fundamentos del Neo-institucionalismo

Abstract

El artículo tiene como objetivo presentar el estado actual de la ciencia económica en el estudio de los procesos políticos y su importancia en la asignación de los recursos. La primera parte presenta una descripción. La primera parte presenta una descripción general del neo-institucionalismo, como corriente que busca generalizar la teoría económica para adaptarla al estudio de las instituciones sociales y políticas. Luego se revisan los principales avances de esta escuela en el estudio de temas como la importancia del balance de poderes, la estabilidad de las decisiones en el Congreso y la influencia de los grupos de poder en las decisiones de los legisladores. El artículo concluye con algunas recomendaciones que se pueden extraer de estos modelos para mejorar el funcionamiento del sistema democrático peruano.
