Competitividad de las Frutillas en México, a través de la Ventaja Comparativa Revelada

Abstract

El presente proyecto realiza un análisis de la evolución de la ventaja comparativa revelada de las frutillas de México en términos de la competitividad, considerando como punto de referencia el flujo de los valores de importación y exportación, durante el periodo del 2001 al 2017, aplicando los índices de Balassa (IVCR), de Vollrath (IVCR) y de Yu Cai y Leung (IVCRN), con datos estadísticos anuales del comercio para el desarrollo internacional de las empresas del Trade Map. Se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: la industria de las frutillas en México no sólo son un fruto altamente rentable, sino que también son bastante versátiles para su consumo; lo cual aumenta su potencial de mercado y exportación. Con el análisis de la presente investigación, se determinó que, las frutillas de México, son los productos en los que es conveniente seguir produciendo debido a dicha ventaja comparativa.
