Abstract

A tanulmány Miskolc város és kistérségének eltérő demográfia folyamatainak vizsgála-tához kíván néhány adalékkal szolgálni. A lakónépesség, a korösszetétel változásai kü-lönböző tendenciát mutatnak, és egyes mutatóknál ez érvényes a Miskolci kistérség és az ország más 100 ezer fő feletti városai kistérségeinek viszonylatában is. A lakóné-pesség, a természetes szaporodás és fogyás, a korösszetétel és a vándorlás idősoros változásai is részben okozói, részben következményei annak, hogy a város és a kistér-ség fejlettségi pozíciói elmaradnak más nagyvárosok, más nagyvárosokhoz tartózó kistérségek jellemzőitől.
