An Application and Validation of Equilibrium Trip Assignment Methods

Abstract

We describe an application of an equilibrium trip assignment method to the 1970 road network of the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We discuss in detail the validity of the method. The results are encouraging and demonstrate the suitability of the method for planning purposes.
