Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 684 peer-reviewed publications on initial public offering (IPO) pricing, retrieved from the Scopus database. The aim is to map the intellectual structure, identify research hotspots, and trace thematic evolution in this field. Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer were used to perform frequency analysis, network visualization, and co-occurrence mapping. The results reveal a significant and growing scholarly interest in IPO pricing, with China recently surpassing the United States in publication volume. Research focus has gradually shifted from long-term IPO performance and aftermarket behavior toward themes such as underpricing, information asymmetry, and underwriter reputation. Notably, author collaborations and institutional outputs are concentrated in emerging markets, reflecting the globalization of IPO-related research. This study offers critical insights for scholars, regulators, and practitioners by highlighting influential works, collaborative patterns, and underexplored areas, thereby paving the way for future research across financial, behavioral, and institutional dimensions.
