Dynamic Comprehensive Evaluation Model of Rural Revitalization in China: A Perspective on Symbiosis

Abstract

Rural revitalization is gaining increasing attention from scholars and policymakers. In this context, the study delves into the essence of rural revitalization from a symbiotic perspective, crafting a dynamic evaluation model grounded in the speed characteristic model. This model comprehensively accounts for both the velocity and acceleration of rural revitalization. Additionally, this study utilized this model to assess the performance of rural revitalization in various provinces in China from 2011 to 2020. The findings are as follows: From a static perspective, clear regional disparities in the level of rural revitalization in China are evident. The development level of each subsystem varies significantly. Ecological livability, life affluence, and effective governance exhibited higher levels than the overall level of rural revitalization, whereas rural civilization and industrial prosperity demonstrated lower levels than the overall level of rural revitalization. From a dynamic perspective, there is an overall positive trend in rural revitalization; however, development rates vary widely among provinces. Areas with higher levels of rural revitalization experienced slower rates of development, whereas those with lower levels experienced faster rates of development.
