Abstract

This study uses provincial-level data from China spanning 2011 to 2022 to examine how agricultural insurance investment and green total factor productivity (GTFP) influence high-quality agricultural development. The findings show that agricultural insurance investment significantly promotes such development and that its impact varies across regions. Additionally, GTFP serves as a mediating factor in this relationship, with the strength and nature of this mediating effect differing by region.
