Was leistet die Riester-Rente für die Sicherung im Alter?

Ten years after the Riester pension was introduced, two things become apparent: First, the pension gap, created by the reforms of 2001 and 2004, cannot be closed by Riester savings; second, the promised higher yields - compared to the traditional pension scheme - have not materialized. Eine Bewertung der Riester-Rente nach zehn Jahren zeigt, dass mit ihr weder die Rentenlücken, die durch die Reformmaßnahmen 2001 und 2004 entstanden sind, in der Regel geschlossen werden können noch dass sich die - im Vergleich zur gesetzlichen Rente - versprochenen höheren Renditen einstellen dürften.
