Abstract

The ifo Education Barometer 2021 asked more than 4,000 adults what education policy measures they favored to address the societal challenges revealed in the coronavirus pandemic. The majority favored mandatory online tuition in the event of school closures and more intensive tutoring for children in difficult social circumstances. Overall, the assessment of the coronavirus school policy is quite negative, especially with regard to the treatment of disadvantaged students.
