O Valor Recreativo Das Praias De Azibo: Um Estudo De Caso No Interior Norte De Portugal

Abstract

Localizada no interior norte de Portugal, a Paisagem Protegida da Albufeira do Azibo foi criada pelas autoridades portuguesas para preservar um rico ambiente natural, lar de inúmeras espécies de fauna e flora. Posteriormente, foi criada na albufeira uma área de lazer com duas praias públicas receptoras do galardão ambiental Bandeira Azul. Neste artigo utiliza-se o método de custo de viagem zonal para estimar o valor recreativo dessas duas praias, concluindo-se que seu benefício económico excede claramente os custos de gestão incorridos pelas autoridades. Estes resultados estão alinhados com outros estudos realizados para áreas costeiras.
