Análisis y clasificación de las explicaciones a la crisis financiera mexicana de 1994

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo hacer una clasificación de las diferentes explicaciones que surgieron a partir de la crisis financiera mexicana de 1994. Luego de la revisión y el estudio de un gran número de trabajos que han tenido como fin explicar las causas que dieron lugar a este problema, se agruparon, por similitud de ideas, a diferentes autores en cuatro líneas explicatorias: a) la oficial de la Presidencia de la República; b) la que presenta a la crisis como consecuencia de la apertura de capital y la apreciación real de la moneda; c) la crisis como consecuencia de la devaluación del peso y d) las causas estructurales de la crisis. Como resultado de este análisis se obtuvieron reflexiones sobre las condiciones en las que se encontraba la economía mexicana y las causas de la crisis./ This paper classifies differents explanations about Mexican financial crisis of 1994. In the economic literature has arised many studies in order to explain the causes of this crisis, a lot of them has been reviewed in this document to associate different authors by their similitude of ideas in four explanatories lines: a) the official explanation from goverment; b) the crisis as a consequence of country capital aperture and the real apreciation of peso; c) the crisis as a result of money devaluation and d) the structural causes. Some importants reflexions about mexican economy conditions and the causes of the crisis emerge as a result of this analysis.
