El valor del uso del agua en el regadío de la cuenca del Segura y en las zonas regables del trasvase Tajo-Segura

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza el valor económico de uso del agua en la agricultura de regadío de la Cuenca del Segura y en las zonas regables que utilizan recursos procedentes del trasvase Tajo-Segura,para lo que se emplea un modelo de programación matemática no lineal que asigna los recursos hídricos y la superficie regable entre los cultivos de cada una de las 64 Unidades de Demanda Agraria de la cuenca.Los valores marginal y medio del agua obtenidos para el conjunto de la cuenca son 0,52 €/m3 y 0,81 €/m3 respectivamente, si bien existen notables diferencias entre zonas. El regadío de la cuenca genera una rentabilidad media privada, medida en términos de margen neto de las explotaciones, de 879 millones de €/año, mientras que el valor de la aportación media anual de los recursos trasvasados desde la cabecera del Tajo se ha estimado en 169 millones de euros.
