Abstract

Vorbemerkung: Die folgenden Ausführungen sind eine Zusammenstellung von Ideenskizzen und selektivem Material aus den Verlautbarungen bzw. der Entscheidungspraxis der Wettbewerbsbehörden. Sie können daher keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit erheben! Behandelt werden folgende Themen: I. Zur Motivation: Warum überhaupt Wettbewerbspolitik und Innovation?, II. Innovationen in den neuen Merger Guidelines der Europäischen Kommission, III. Aus der Entscheidungspraxis der Fusionskontrolle in der EU (und den USA), IV. Weitere Bereiche der EU-Wettbewerbspolitik mit Bezug zu Innovationen, V. Zwei Positionen zur Frage der theoretischen Basis.
