Recent theoretical and empirical development in Management and planning: A review

Abstract

Management planning includes the development of forecasts, objectives, policies, programmes. It also involves the procedures, schedules and budgets. This study aims to review the recent development in the theories of management and planning. It also reviews the recent empirical breakthrough in the field. Planning is also a strategic mechanism that helps to determine priorities for the future direction of an organization and to establish the activities and resources needed to reach those goals. Managers may create a strategic strategy or a marketing plan, for example, in order to accomplish targets. The intention may be to accomplish those aims or objectives. The key aim of planning is to define the existing tools and optimally use them to produce the best performance. . The recent decades saw a number of development in management and planning on theoretical and empirical basis. This study critically examine the newly developed methods, theories, and empirical findings.
