Working paper, cost benefit analysis of energy sources for groundwater irrigation in India - considers petroleum and biomass engines, electric motors and rural area electrification, animal traction, handpumps, etc.; considers irrigation potential and its impact on agricultural production; assesses the economic implications of energy policy, and the impact of farm size.
