Socio-economic implications of micro-hydro power systems in India

Abstract

Working paper on economic implications and social implications of hydroelectric power power generation on a small scale industry level in India - compares efficiency, production costs, and overhead costs of rural area microelectric power stations, finding this choice of technology equally capital intensive, and considers ways of overcoming obstacles to profitability.
