Abstract

Working paper on the commercialization of local levelly-developed agricultural technology in Jordan - reviews agricultural sector institutional framework, agricultural production, land utilization, agricultural credit, land tenure, labour shortages and agricultural market; discusses factors, incl. Obstacles, affecting demand for agricultural machinery, and supply of local levelly-developed technology (tariff policies, etc.); identifies needs in the crop and livestock sectors; examines research and development, and potential for local manufacturing of agricultural equipment. References, statistical tables.
