Abstract

Working paper examining the impact of agrarian reforms on rural development in Nicaragua - describes the agrarian structure, land tenure and standard of living of the rural population, examines the reforms since 1979, transition to public and cooperative farming and their impact on agricultural production, agricultural employment and agricultural income, and discusses agricultural policy issues. Graph, references and statistical tables.
