Integración regional de los mercados laborales en Colombia, 1984-2000

Abstract

En este trabajo encontramos que el mercado laboral urbano en Colombia está integrado. La integración de este mercado se analiza por el grado de calificación de la mano de obra con el fin de considerar grupos de personas ocupadas relativamente homogéneas. La definición de integración utilizada se basa en la convergencia de los salarios entre las diferentes zonas geográficas. Se constató que los ocupados que alcanzan el nivel educativo de primaria y secundaria son los que más altos índices de integración presentan. En contraste el nivel educativo superior, probablemente por su gran heterogeneidad, no presenta un mercado laboral integrado en el conjunto de áreas metropolitanas.
