Abstract

Four years before Danone inked its joint venture agreement with Wahaha, it had already formed a joint venture with Shanghai Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd (Bright Dairy).1 Bright Dairy was once a leading Chinese company that was initially state-owned and then partially publicly listed.
