Westeuropäische Gesundheitssysteme im Vergleich: Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Schweiz, Frankreich, Italien, Großbritannien

Abstract

Im Prozeß der europäischen Einigung wächst der Bedarf an Informationen über die institutionelle Gestaltung von gesellschaftlichen Teilsystemen. Dieser Band stellt die Gesundheitssysteme von fünf westeuropäischen Ländern nach einheitlichen Kategorien dar und arbeitet strukturelle Gemeinsamkeiten und Divergenzen heraus. Im Vordergrund steht die Beschreibung der organisatorischen und institutionellen Charakteristika dieser fünf Typen medizinischer Versorgung, die bezüglich des Grades staatlicher bzw. quasi-staatlicher Intervention stark variieren. Die einzelnen Ländermonographien gehen kurz auf die historische Basis des jeweiligen Gesundheitswesens ein, analysieren die aktuelle Konstellation einflußreicher, zumeist korporativer Akteure und arbeiten die institutionalisierten Regulierungsmechanismen heraus. Diese länderspezifischen Darstellungen bilden gleichzeitig die Grundlage für einen strukturellen Systemvergleich, der sich vor allem auf aktuelle Reformbestrebungen konzentirert und die damit verbundenen Problemlösungsstrategien und Entwicklungspfade analysiert.
