Chancen für die österreichische Exportwirtschaft durch Klimaschutzprojekte

Abstract

Für die Durchführung von Klimaschutzprojekten und für die Auswahl geeigneter Gastländer für Klimaschutzinvestitionen sind eine Reihe von Faktoren relevant: neben den Kosten der Maßnahmen zur Emissionsreduktion auch das allgemeine Investitionsklima eines Landes sowie dessen institutionelle Kapazitäten zur Abwicklung der entsprechenden Projekte. Für ausgewählte Länder weist die Studie Indikatoren zu diesen drei Dimensionen aus, um förderliche oder hemmende Faktoren zu illustrieren. Zwischen dem Potential für kostengünstige Maßnahmen zur Emissionsreduktion einerseits und dem Investitionsklima sowie den institutionellen Kapazitäten andererseits ist häufig ein Trade-off zu beobachten. Gute Voraussetzungen für klimarelevante Exporte ergeben sich aus der Struktur des österreichischen Angebotes an Umwelttechnologien.
